The
NC Aquarium in Roanoke is a really nice place to visit. It is the perfect smaller aquarium with fun stuff to do for kids of all ages and a surprising amount to see. It's also a place where you can go at your own pace. If you want you can see stuff pretty quick and move on to the other cool things to do in Manteo. You could go to the nearby
Elizabethan Gardens, beware of mosquitoes, or go to the
Festival Park. We like to spend time in downtown Manteo, shopping, Eating, or checking out the boats in Shallowbag Bay. Any way, I can heartily recommend a trip to the NC Aquarium.
